Currently based in Tucson, Arizona, I write professionally about language acquisition and learning, spreading my time mainly between Tucson, Quito, and Vienna. Before reincarnation as an author I had taught English around the world, focusing on General English, Business English, and Aviation English. Improving to the B2 level on the CEFR
(the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), but especially on to C1 or C2, requires more than just additional lessons. What is then needed is an ability to actually use the language more effectively.
For this purpose "Capstone English" addresses the unique needs of intermediate and advanced students seeking to exercise their skills in more realistic and challenging settings. The course is now offered on demand to small groups in Ecuador, Spain, and Northern Europe, and is only appropriate for those who already possessing a good grasp of basic English grammar and vocabulary, who desire to improve their skills in a more socially active and meaningful manner.
